Arbitration

I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and have attained MCIArb qualification in International Commercial Arbitration. 
I encourage the use of arbitration and mediation as two means of speedy, effective and inexpensive alternative dispute resolution. My training includes dealing with arbitration and mediation across a range of subject matter areas.
I am able to appear as counsel in domestic or International Arbitration, and can be appointed by parties to sit as arbitrator. I enjoy a diverse practice, and am able to appear as counsel in International commercial Arbitration and Family arbitration cases (Financial remedies and child arrangements ).

As a member of Women in Sports Law (WisLaw) and as a trustee of Croquet England I am furthering my interest and developping a practice in Sports Dispute Resolution.

I currently serve on the London Branch committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, https://londonarbitrators.org  I have been involved in the organisation of the following events:

I have been involved in the organisation of the following events:
  • Do arbitration and mediation work for aviation and what is the scope for their increased use? (Moderator)

  • Looking back on Tokyo and looking forward to Doha: the arbitration of disputes at major sporting events. (joint event with the CIArb Qatar branch)
  • Reassessing assessing credibility (Introduced/presented)

  • Dispute resolution in Film, Media and entertainment.
  • 2022 Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Bill – interesting times for arbitration and ADR (moderator).
  • I was a member of the CIArb (London Branch) working party, putting forward suggestions to the Law Commission on the reform of the Arbitration Act 1996.
  • Reassessing assessing credibility.
I have an interest in Arbitration in African countries, both Anglophone and francophone, and in the Middle East.
Since attending the ICCA conference, held in Mauritius in 2016, I continue to attend international conferences, where I enjoy learning about, and comparing the differences in International Arbitration in Civil and common law Jurisdictions. In 2025 I spoke on a panel at Cameroon International Arbitration week on Cybersecurity and the Law.

I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to have participated in the Bar council (England and Wales) mission to Kenya (Nairobi), and Tanzania. In 2024 I visited Abu Dhabi and Dubai with the Bar Council Family Law delegation, and spoke on a panel at the Symposium about Arbitration, mediation, and the New Non Court Dispute Resolution schemes.
